Every business in our directory is searchable by region, county and town, so you can identify local specialists in minutes.

How our data works

Every business listed on WeFixYourCar is sourced from the Companies House public register — the official UK government database of registered businesses, published under the Open Government Licence.

We focus specifically on businesses registered under the following Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) codes:

• 45200 — Maintenance and repair of motor vehicles
• 45201 — Maintenance of motor vehicle electrical and electronic systems
• 45202 — Other maintenance and repair of motor vehicles
• 45400 — Sale, maintenance and repair of motorcycles and related parts

This means every garage in our directory is a legally registered UK business, not a self-submitted or unverified listing. Every company profile includes a Company Number you can verify directly on the Companies House website.

Why we built this

Finding a reliable local garage in the UK is harder than it should be. Search results often mix together review aggregators, dealership landing pages and unverified directory spam. We set out to build a directory based entirely on verifiable public data: if a business is registered at Companies House under the right SIC code, it appears here.

We do not charge garages for listings, and businesses cannot pay to improve their ranking. The directory reflects the Companies House register as objectively as possible.

How the quote service works

The service is completely free — there is no cost to request a quote and no obligation to proceed with any work. We earn a referral fee from our partner network when a connection leads to a booking, which is how we fund and maintain the directory.
